Terms & Conditions

Here at Katt Diamonds, we are proud to stand behind the workmanship of every beautiful item we create. From the inception each piece of jewelry we sell, our emphasis is on creating lasting jewelry at the best value to our customer. With each and every piece created by Katt Diamonds being hand-made with pride in the U.S.A. by our award-winning team of internal artisans, we continue to be grateful to our customers for appreciating the pride we put into every product we create and sell. We appreciate our customers for understanding and agreeing to our terms and conditions.

All customers conducting business with Katt Diamonds are bound to our Terms and Conditions, Shipping Policies, Return Policies, Cancelation Policies,Layaway Plan Terms, Custom Order and Design Terms, Payment Method Policies, Warranty Terms, and will be subject to any additional terms and policies separately indicated within our website, invoices, credit applications, contracts, promissory notes, or any other document processed in regard to business conducted with Katt Diamonds.

  • Appointments for in-person jewelry design consultation are taken on a first-come first-serve basis. In-person design consultations are by appointment only and it is recommended that appointments for design consultation be made at least 24 hours prior so that we can ensure the attention to detail that each customer deserves. Appointments are available at all of our locations daily between 10:00am and 5:00pm.
  • Our design consultations are always free, no matter if you are contacting us via email, through our website, over the phone, or in person. Once your specifications are confirmed for your completed estimate, a 25% deposit is required to begin the custom design, upon which time our design team will create a rendering (computer design) for your feedback/approval prior to beginning forging, casting, and setting your custom piece of jewelry. During the rendering approval process, we will work with you to make as many modifications to the rendering as necessary to assure your design is perfectly represented and approved by you prior to the actual casting. Upon final approval of the design rendering, full payment is required prior to forging and setting your custom piece of jewelry. Depending on the complexity of your item, some pieces can be created in a matter of a couple of days, however for most custom-designed pieces, the turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks to allow time for creating the custom mold, casting, setting, final polishing, AGA certification, and final inspection/evaluation by our quality control team and gemologists. Upon our final evaluation, customer will be notified that the jewelry piece is ready for pick-up. If you are unavailable to pick up your piece in person, your item will be shipped to you upon our final evaluation. All shipments will require signature and identification for insurance and liability purposes. Should you not be satisfied with your custom order for any reason, Katt Diamonds will allow a one-time exchange for another item of equal or greater value within 30 days of the delivered date of your custom-designed jewelry. Items must be of equal or greater value than the original custom item being exchanged, with the difference in higher value paid by the customer. No refund will be given on custom order exchanges. If the customer chooses to trade for an item of lesser value than original custom item then credit will apply to their next purchase. Due to the complexity and the individual requirements on each custom piece, any returns of custom items must be received by Katt Diamonds within 30 days of the customer’s receipt of their custom jewelry order, and will be subject up to a 45% restocking fee based on the complexity of the custom item being returned.

PAYMENT METHOD POLICIES

DOMESTIC (Within 48 Continental United States)

  • Debit and Credit Cards Accepted*: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Bidpay and Paypal. Prepaid credit cards are NOT accepted.
  • Trade-in jewelry is accepted and credited toward purchases upon confirmation of value or receipt of traded item/s. Contact one of our representatives to begin an appraisal for you. See our Terms and Conditions for policies on shipping and returns. Additional terms may apply.
  • Purchases under $7,500.00 may be made with credit/debit card, check, money order, or bank wire. Katt Diamonds also accepts PayPal.
  • Purchases over $7,500.00 must be made with physical check or bank wire. Credit cards are NOT accepted for purchases over $7,500.00. Katt Diamonds.
  • On all purchases, billing address must match shipping address for all orders not paid for and picked up in person.

INTERNATIONAL (Outside of 48 Continental United States)

  • Bank Wire is the only form of acceptable payment for international orders. We apologize, but no other forms of payment are acceptable by Katt Diamonds for international orders, including credit/debit cards.
  • International customer orders should either call one of our representatives during our normal business hours to place their order, or email our jewelry sales department at customercare@kattdiamonds.com with the following information:
    • Name
    • Address
    • Phone Number
    • Product number with Metal Type, Setting type, Ring Size/Chain Length/ Backing
  • Upon receipt of your inquiry, one of our jewelry design professionals will promptly be in communication with you during our regular business hours to process your order.
  • International shipping and custom fees will apply. Any additional fees incurred during shipping or processing will be the responsibility of the customer. If these fees are incurred on final shipment, customer agrees to pay Katt Diamonds for any additional fees upon delivery of the merchandise.

WHOLESALE

  • Wholesale customers must provide a tax ID for their business.
  • Unless otherwise indicated, by conducting wholesale business with Katt Diamonds, you are bound to our standard policies and terms of agreement.
  • All wholesale accounts are required to carry a bank-secured line of credit, and all open balances will be subject to additional terms and payment policies indicated on invoices, credit applications, contracts, promissory notes, or any other document processed in regard to the credit granted to customer by Katt Diamonds.
  • Each wholesale customer must meet industry’s approval.
  • Credit and background checks will be performed on any customer to which wholesale credit is granted.
  • All wholesale customers conducting business with Katt Diamonds are additionally bound to our Terms and Conditions, Shipping Policies, Return Policies, Layaway Plan Terms, Custom Order and Design Terms, Payment Method Policies, Warranty Terms, and will be subject to any additional terms and policies separately indicated within our website, invoices, credit applications, contracts, promissory notes, or any other document processed in regard to business conducted with Katt Diamonds.

LAYAWAY

Although we do not offer financing, we do give our customers the opportunity to purchase their jewelry from Katt Diamonds through our convenient layaway plan with an initial payment of at least 10% of the total purchase price (including tax). Initiation of any orders on a layaway purchase plan agreement should be done over the phone by contacting one of your customer service representatives at (800) 557-4755. Click here to see our Layaway Plan terms and details. We will be happy to assist you in the order process and provide you the proper documentation for your layaway purchase plan agreement.

  • For each layaway order, the customer must pay a down payment of at least 15% of the total purchase price (including tax).
  • Orders under $3,000.00 will be allowed a layaway period of up to 12 months* from original down payment date to pay off their item/s at a frequency of at least one payment per month in the amount of no less than 8% of their total purchase price (including tax) with each payment being made on or before its indicated due-date per the terms set forth on your layaway purchase plan agreement.
  • Orders over $3,000.00 will be allowed a layaway period of up to 24 months* from original down payment date to pay off their item/s at a frequency of at least one payment per month in the amount of no less than 4% of their total purchase price (including tax) with each payment being made on or before its indicated due-date per the terms set forth on your layaway purchase plan agreement.
  • (Defaults, Grace Periods, and Breach of Agreement)*: We understand that our flexibility and understanding is allowing us the opportunity to do business with you, and we appreciate that opportunity. For all layaway customers, a 10-day period of grace will be allowed from the due-date of each monthly payment as indicated per the terms set forth in your layaway purchase plan agreement before it is considered a late payment default. Each customer on a 12-month layaway term will be allowed a maximum of 3 defaults, and each customer on a 24-month layaway term will be allowed a maximum of 6 defaults before the customer is considered in breach of our layaway purchase plan agreement, and consequently forfeits their merchandise and all payments made throughout their layaway period. A ”default“ is defined as any of the following occurrences: late payments (payments not made within the allowable 10-day grace period), missed payments, insufficient funds not made up within 5 days of original payment processing (plus $25 reprocessing fees), monthly payment of less than the minimum amount defined on your layaway purchase plan agreement. Each individual occurrence of a default is counted toward the allowable maximum per the terms of your layaway purchase plan agreement. Regardless of which layaway plan you are on, if 3 monthly payments are missed consecutively, the customer is considered in breach of our layaway purchase plan agreement, and consequently forfeits their merchandise and all payments made throughout their layaway period.
  • Upon payment of entire balance, all additional terms and requirements set forth under our Return Policies and our Terms and Conditions will apply**.
  • **Layaway orders may be modified after the initial order. However, if any layaway order is modified, the customer understands that any payments made toward a modified layaway order are non-refundable and are not privileged the terms of our standard Return Policies.
  • There is no penalty for early pay-off of balance.
  • Layaway orders will be shipped to customer after payment of entire balance. All shipments will require signature and identification for insurance and liability purposes.
  • In the event a payment of insufficient funds is processed by Katt Diamonds, the customer understands they will be subject to a $25 reprocessing fee for each insufficient funds payment.
  • All customers conducting layaway business with Katt Diamonds are additionally bound to our Terms and Conditions, Shipping Policies, Return Policies, Layaway Plan Terms, Custom Order and Design Terms, Payment Method Policies, Warranty Terms, and will be subject to any additional terms and policies separately indicated within our website, invoices, credit applications, contracts, promissory notes, or any other document processed in regard to business conducted with Katt Diamonds.

PROCESSING TIME / PRODUCTION / MANUFACTURING

  • Manufacturing of any order does not begin until payment has cleared the bank upon which it is drawn. With the exception of wholesale open account holders, items do not ship until the payment has cleared the bank upon which it is drawn. Katt Diamonds has the right to refuse service should any suspicious activity be evident. Any suspicious activity will require additional information before any order processing begins.
  • All products sold Katt Diamonds are individually made to order which will require some time to complete your piece. The processing time (manufacturing time) varies based on the complexity of your custom jewelry design, and is not included in the shipping time. E.g. if you get overnight shipping, we still need processing time to create your custom jewelry. Processing time typically takes between 2-14 days depending on how intricate the design.
  • Expedited/rush orders are available in special circumstances (additional expediting fees may apply). Expediting cost varies between time of year, allowable timeline, and complexity of your jewelry design. Call us at (800) 557-4755 for further information if you have an urgent request that requires immediate attention.

WARRANTY TERMS

Here at Katt Diamonds, we are proud to stand behind the quality of every beautiful item we create. Below, you will find the terms of our standard warranty offered with each and every product we design & sell to you, our valued customer!

  • At Katt Diamonds, we offer free repairs for the life of our product to the original owner of any item we sell*. This includes fixing broken prongs, broken shanks, loose prongs, broken chains, and many other items. Please contact our Customer Service department to assist with any repairs and any warranty questions.
  • We offer complimentary cleaning and polishing of any items purchased from us to the original owner of the item.
  • We offer free sizing up to three (3) times. After resizing an item three times, we reserve the right to the decision of any further resizing on a case by case basis depending on the circumstance. Note that resizing a ring more than three times can degenerate the composition of the metal, therefore, we highly suggest to be certain on what ring size you need. Eternity bands and other styles of rings that have continuous stones/inlays around the entire band of the ring usually cannot be re-sized.
  • During the first two (2) years of your original purchase, any lost or damaged stone (diamonds, gemstones, semiprecious stones) that are .03 carat or under will be repaired/replaced for free. Any lost or damaged stone larger than .03 carat will not be replaced under warranty (customer must file a claim through their own insurance). Jewelry insurance is highly recommended. If you do not have jewelry insurance available through your provider, we recommend Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co.
  • Warranty is not insurance. Lost and stolen merchandise is not covered by warranty.
  • *Free repairs are limited to items that have not voided our warranty. We always try to accommodate our customers in any situation, so although your repair may not be free under the terms and conditions of our warranty, we will offer you the best cost for repair or replacement, and will warranty that repair or replacement as per the terms herein. If your damage occurs within the first two (2) years of your original purchase, some exceptions will be made in regard to excess wear and tear at the discretion of an authorized representative of Katt Diamonds. Any repairs outside of two (2) years of your original purchase will be handled on a case by case basis under the discretion of an authorized representative of Katt Diamonds.
  • Warranty will be Void for any of the following reasons including but not limited to: Repair work performed by any facility not authorized and approved by Katt Diamonds. Any removal of stones whatsoever. Excess or unusual wear and tear**.
  • **Excess or Unusual Wear and Tear is defined as: Any damage or wear caused to an item that is considered by Katt Diamonds to be beyond the wear caused during normal conditions, including but not limited to any damage or wear cause by the improper care or handling of an item. Examples of Excess or Unusual Wear and Tear: Chains that have been broken or bent due to being yanked, pulled or handled improperly. Car runs over ring. Dog chews ring. Ring hit by hammer while hammering a nail.
  • All customers conducting warranty business with Katt Diamonds are additionally bound to our Terms and Conditions, Shipping Policies, Return Policies, Layaway Plan Terms, Custom Order and Design Terms, Payment Method Policies, Warranty Terms, and will be subject to any additional terms and policies separately indicated within our website, invoices, credit applications, contracts, promissory notes, or any other document processed in regard to business conducted with Katt Diamonds.

NON PAY, DELINQUENT PAY, INSUFFICIENT FUNDS, ILLEGAL ACTIVITY

In the event of nonpayment, delinquent payment, delinquency on an open account balance, payment being denied for any reason, including insufficient funds, or if for any reason any payment terms are not met, the customer will be responsible for ALL COSTS OF COLLECTION, including but not limited to court costs and attorney fees to the maximum extent of the law. Furthermore any unresolved account balance will be subject to a service charge of one and one-half percent (1½ %) of the invoice since the inception of the debt owed and for each month thereafter as an adjustment in the price. In the event any payment of insufficient funds is processed by Katt Diamonds, the customer understands they will be subject to a $25 reprocessing fee for each insufficient funds payment.

Where allowable and applicable, the customer understands that any attempt to obtain merchandise without paying will be considered as theft by Katt Diamonds, and that Katt Diamonds will cooperate with applicable law enforcement to pursue prosecution of theft to the fullest allowable extent of the governing law.

The customer acknowledges by selling any items to Katt Diamonds, that the sale or trade of stolen property, of any property taken without authorization from a rightful owner, or any property that is not free from other liens, secured interests and encumbrances is a violation of the state and federal law. Katt Diamonds will cooperate with applicable law enforcement to pursue prosecution of any customer attempting to illegally sell merchandise to the fullest allowable extent of the governing law. In the event it is discovered that the customer has succeeded in selling illegal goods to Katt Diamonds, the customer will not only be pursued criminally, but will also be responsible to repay Katt Diamonds in full for any affiliated items, plus a service charge of one and one-half percent (1½ %) of the purchase price since the inception of the debt owed and for each month thereafter as an adjustment in that price, with all costs of collection of funds, including any court costs and attorney fees being the responsibility of the customer.

”PayPal“ is a licensed trademark of PayPal, Inc.

DEFINITIONS

  • ”Custom Order“ and ”Custom“ items are defined as any item ordered that requires forging, engraving, casting, molding, metalsmithing of any kind, or any modification whatsoever from an in stock item’s original state other than the setting of chosen stone/s. ”Standard Order“ and ”Standard“ items are considered an in-stock item that does not require any modification whatsoever, other than the setting of chosen stone/s.
  • ”Customer“ is defined as any person or entity who enters into any communication regarding the selling, trading, appraising, inquiry of, or the purchasing of any product to or from Katt Diamonds.
  • ”Business“ is defined as any communication, inquiry, agreement, or financial transaction regarding the selling, trading, appraising, inquiry of, or the purchasing of any product from Katt Diamonds to a customer or from a customer to Katt Diamonds.
